She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Carlson and Della Carlson (Hamilton); her husband Orland Roger Nerness; her son-in-law Larry Shaeffer; and her siblings, Ida Guisinger, Edythe Lowman, Vern and Earl Carlson.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Shaeffer of Huxley, IA, David Nerness (Marita) of Chino Hills, CA and Diane McCauley of Ames, IA; her grandchildren, Matthew Shaeffer (Michelle), Jessica McCauley and Jackson Nerness; her great grandchildren, Gage, Grant and Tatum Shaeffer; and her sister-in-law Ila Nerness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or a charity of the donor's choice.
