It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sally O'Brien (Ames, Iowa), born in Hampton, Iowa, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Herren and Betty Herren (James O'Brien); her daughter Katherine Bloch; and her grandson Joseph Vaughn. She is survived by: her husband James O'Brien; her daughters, Julia Coash (Bob) of Bondurant and Veronica Vaughn (Bill) of Story City; her son-in-law David Bloch of Ankeny; her grandchildren, Jeanette Santana (Gerad), Amanda Althaus, Matt Althaus, Michael Vaughn (Kara), Zachary Kupitz, Kelsey Kupitz (Dave Jabore) and Dan Bloch; and her great grandchildren, Shea, Aubree Santana, Simon Vaughn and Iris Jabore.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sally's name to St Croix Hospice.
