He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Thompson II and Maria Thompson (Drappeaux); his stepfather John Pearson; his son Jeremy Thompson; and his brother Jimmy Stone.
He is survived by: his father-in-law John Pearson; his daughters, Anna Morgan-Pope of Ames and Jennifer Thompson of Ames; his grandchildren, Jamie Morgan, Jacob Morgan and Jillian Pope; and his siblings, Darlene Thompson, Robert Thompson (Sue), Eldon Thompson (Brenda) and Richard Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
