He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Ripley and Gladys Ripley (DeBoer); and his brother-in-law Richard Magnuson. He is survived by: his former wives, Vicki Wilson and Judy Donovan; his children, Carisa Danielson (Shawn) of Ames and Brandon Ripley of Ames; his grandchildren, LaiLah Jayd Ripley of Des Moines, Jaxon, Treyton and Addyson Danielson of Ames; and his siblings, Merwyn Ripley (Nancy) of Ames, Barb Magnuson of Ames and June Kirkpatrick (Robert) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for future designation.
