He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Witowski and Louise Witowski (Czechowski); his brothers, Francis and Joseph; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Day and Peter Heromin.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry of Ames; his daughters, Susan Hansen (Tim) of Nevada, IA, Jill Witowski of Glenview, IL and Amy Rotert (Chad) of Bettendorf, IA; his stepdaughters, Teresea Michel (Brian) of Lincoln, NE and Stacy Jelkin (Jay) of Omaha, NE.; his grandchildren, Zach Hansen (Abby), Tyler Hansen, Tre De Lio, Jake Rotert, Dilan Michel (Bridget) and Jordan Jelkin; his great grandchild Mabel Michel; his sisters, Louise Heromin, Lorraine Zarlinski and Karen Day; and his sister-in-law Barb Witowski.
A reception will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home & Cremation Service (502 Douglas Ave, Ames, IA 50010). He also enjoyed substitute teaching in various Iowa schools only leaving the classroom due to COVID at the age of 80.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be directed in Bob's memory to a special endowment of the Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation that supports the Israel Family Hospice House.
