He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ann Christie (Sills); his daughters, Kee Ann Mulfinger (Stephen), Tara Rocco (Stephen), Janell Meyer (Brian) and Willow Buscemi (John); and his grandchildren, Taylor Mulfinger (Ann) of Shoreview, MN, David Mulfinger (Katherine) of Eldridge, IA, Evan Mulfinger (Angelica) of Liscomb, IA, Dylan Mulfinger (Michelle) of Oelwein, IA, Brendan Rocco (Kessia) of Milford, MA, Kendra Rose (William, Jr) of Middleboro, MA, Grant Rocco (Amy) of Plainville, MA, Truman Meyer of Moline, IL, Griffin Meyer of Omaha, NE, Jack Buscemi of Darien, CT and Serafina Buscemi of Darien, CT.

After retiring, he was a volunteer for the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and the World Food Prize Foundation.
