It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Lee Pittman of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lee Pittman and Mary Elizabeth Pittman (Smith); her close friend Bob Raney; her friends, George and Dee Mackey; and her cousins, Martin Boston (Linda) and Barbara Jean Fowler (Campbell).
She is survived by: her cousin Alton; her husband Shaklee; her friend Green Grass of Home; her daughters, Mary Catlett and Robin Borton (Steve); and her cousins, Carol Watkins (Campbell) of Florida, BettyLou Dalton (Campbell) of Texas and Loretta Ann McDonald of Hawaii. She is also survived by one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
A long time church goer since St. Paul's Methodist in Madrid and Ankeny Methodist, she read the Bible and attended Bible School and many church activities with her church family at North Grand Christian Church up until the pandemic, but her friends always called upon her and sent cards.
In lieu of flowers, her family encourages you to make a contribution to the Salvation Army, Heartland Senior Services or NAMI in Becky's name.
