It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis I. Harris of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Holliston Thompson and Irene Burchard Thompson (Wheeler); her husband Frank Beck Harris; her sister Kathleen Wheeler Hartigan; and her nephews, James Anderson and Timothy Hartigan.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ann Gemberling (Jay), Lynn Nena (Anthony), Rebecca, Rachel and Mark Cooper (Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Maycee, Jase, Jaxon Gemberling, Claire, Cora Nena and Grayson Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to express their sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Ames Public Library or the Northcrest Community Residents Council. Donations will be distributed at Christmas to the incredible and attentive staff who provided both friendship and care to Phyllis.
