He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Wheelock and Madeline Wheelock (Bills); his stepmother Margaret Wheelock; his sister Linda Miller (Jim); and his sister-in-law Karen Wheelock.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Ann Tuttle; his sons, Jeff, Jim and Kirk; his wife Maggie Haaland; his sons, Jess and Aaron; his grandchildren, Olivia Avicious (Matt) and Joey Wheelock of Colorado Springs, CO; and his siblings, David Wheelock (Toni) of Ames, IA and Marilyn Schulte (Larry) of Cedar Rapids, IA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Ames, IA.
