With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Jean Gurau of Ames, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on January 17, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Henry H. and Liselotte Gurau (Lewin); and her sister Patricia McCrery. She is survived by: her son Karl Dow; her grandchildren, Katherine, Joseph and Jakob Dow; her great grandchild Adriana of Des Moines, IA; and her nephew Ryan McCrery of Dunedin, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Peggy's name to the Ames Public Library, Roland Public Library, or the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames.
