He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joseph and Louise Ann Heffron (Howze); his son Mark Hunter Heffron; his brother John Holmes Heffron; and his brothers-in-law, John Burroughs and Charles Burroughs.
He is survived by: his spouses, Cynthia Goff and Phyllis Margaret of Ames; his children, Hilary Hope Heffron of Bethesda, MD and Cynthia Heffron of Bethesda, MD; his sister Ann Heffron Chapman of Manassas, VA; and his sister-in-law Betty Heffron of Silver Spring, MD. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
