He is survived by: his mother Irma Carlson (Aviles) of Bethpage; his wife Valerie Rene Dodd of Douglas; his children, Jessica Carlson of Colorado Springs, Jason Carlson of Bossier City, Michael Carlson of Douglas, Melissa Carlson of Casper and Matthew Carlson of Dade City, Florida; and his siblings, George Carlson Jr. of Central Islip, Richard Carlson of Moline, Mark Carlson of Bethpage and June Carlson of Silver Spring, Maryland. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
