It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jane Clithero of Ames, Iowa, born in Boone, Iowa, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter J. Erickson and Aline Edwards Erickson; her former husbands, Lt. Robert D. Peterson and Col. Harold E. Fischer; her spouse Thomas W. Clithero; her sister Teddy J. Ollrich; her brother-in-law Arthur Ollrich; her daughter Katherine Ann Fischer; and her sisters-in-law, Esther Stutzman (Glenn), Arlene Oakleaf (Doug), Olive Booth (Larry) and Lavonne Erickson (John).
She is survived by: her children, Dana Lynn Peterson Fischer of Ames Iowa, Kurt E. Fischer (Shawn) of Tivoli and Clint N Fischer (Deanna) of Ankeny, Iowa.; her stepchildren, Anne Pickering (Gary) of Denver, Julie Ryan (Mark) of Phoenix and Douglas Clithero (Kim) of Phoenix Arizona; her grandsons, Scott Keefe (Katie), Alexander Fischer, Austin Fischer (Amy) and Pascal Fischer; and her friends, Virgie Cortner and Nancy Franzenburg.
