It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary James of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on April 3, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Archibald Leslie and Retta McGregor (Ewalt); and her husband William David James. She is survived by: her children, Kevin David (Pearl You) of Mountain View, CA, Heather James of Ames, IA and Kara Hillhouse (Tony) of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren, Ronan James-Estenson of Lincoln, NE and Carmen Hillhouse of Lincoln, NE; and her brothers, Pat McGregor (Karen) of Mankato, MN and Duncan McGregor (late Judie) of Mapleton, MN. She is also survived by two nieces, three nephews, and numerous great-nephews.
We kept in touch during Covid but planned on getting together when the coast was clear.
Memorials will be given to Town and Gown Chamber Music Association and Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance.
