With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark Stephen Gerstein (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Clarice Gerstein; and his brother Greg Gerstein. He is survived by: his father Bernard Gerstein; his daughters, Kylie Gerstein (Miguel Pina), Alivia Gerstein (Justin Boot) and Natalie Gerstein; and his siblings, William Gerstein (Rhoda), Beth Timm (Greg) and Garth Gerstein (Angela). He is also survived by Niece and Nephews.

“In loving memory of Mark Stephen Gerstein, Someone so special will not be forgotten. Mark "G-man" was my friend for over 30 years. We started at UPS together and had many headaches and good laughs at the "Brown Machines" expense. He was one of the rare few who stayed a true friend over the years. A tremendously spiritual person, he more than anything enjoyed a deep spiritual discussion. He was a friend like no other, before or since. I hope he is dancing with the angels. I picture him smiling.”
