With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Jeanne Burkgren of Ames, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on May 30, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche M. Lizer (Teeples) and Zeb Lizer; her son John Calvin; and her brothers, Richard and John Lizer.
She is survived by: her husband Calvin E. Burkgren; her children, Marta Burkgren (Ron Morgan) of Ames and Tom Burkgren (Sue Kimpston) of Perry; her grandchildren, Meridith Burkgren Morgan (Jeff), Timothy Burkgren Morgan, Kay Kimpston-Burkgren and Joel Kimpston-Burkgren (Miranda Ayers); and her great grandchild Calvin John Ayers-Burkgren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Dayton Public Library.
