He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carrie and Kenneth Cakerice; and his parents, Kenneth Cakerice and Carrie Cakerice. He is survived by: his brothers, Howard Cakerice and Jay Cakerice; his wife Myrna Cakerice; his children, Denise Tjarks (Jon) of Lahaina, HI, Kristine Cakerice of Ames, IA and Troy Cakerice (Jennifer) of Ames, IA; his grandchildren, Dustin Cakerice (Alexandra), Ashlynn Cakerice (Andres), Kayla Cakerice and Cole Cakerice; and his great grandchild Jace Mendoza.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Sawyer Elementary or Northwood Pre-School.
