He was predeceased by: his parent Joneta C. Bell (Wheelock); his brothers, Mark and Jim; his nephews, Mike Hanks and Tom Bell Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Smith and Kelly Bell.
He is survived by: his father Melvin D. Bell; and his siblings, Tom (JoAnn) of Story City, Danny of Ames, Suanne Smith of Ames, Pam Hanks (Dennis) of Cambridge and Jacque of Ames. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
