Kenneth Joseph Ries Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Joseph Ries (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Ries (Driscoll) and Edward Joseph Ries; his siblings, Ethel Abbott, Phillis Ries, Don Ries and Helen Quesnell; and his granddaughter Alyssa Gallaher.

He is survived by: his wife Delores Anna Ries (Petersen) of Anne's Catholic Church; his children, Ron Ries (Linda) of Ames, Deanna Gallaher of Cedar, Thomas Ries of Lee's Summit, Debra Barry (Tony) of Buffalo, Edward Ries (Carrie) of Ottumwa and John Ries (Erin Albright) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his grandchildren, Matt, Geoff, Hannah, Kyle, Jake, Charity, Chad and Tina; his brother-in-law Delano Petersen (Jan); and his nephew T. Ed Abbott. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
