It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine M. Beckett of Ames, Iowa, born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Lawson and Marguerite Lawson (O'Connor); her son Larry Beckett; and her siblings, Don and Marge.
She is survived by: her husband Roger Beckett; her sons, Tom Beckett (Jane), Bob Beckett (Barbara) and Paul Beckett (Stephanie); her daughter-in-law Laura Beckett; her stepgranddaughters, Anna Coble (Phil) and Jennifer Correll (Brenton); her grandchildren, Katherine Dazzo (Mikey), Kevin Beckett, Kyle Beckett, Grant Beckett and Sarah Beckett; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lennon Coble, Everette Coble, Samuel Correll and Emma Correll; and her great grandchild Thea Dazzo.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Green Hills Retirement Community, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation.
