She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred West and Irene West (Nelson); her grandson Grady Larson; her sister Delores Kyle (Howard); and her brother-in-law Richard Warren.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her children, Gregory Larson (Kim) of Marion and Renee Brause (Scott) of Ames; her grandchildren, Alyssa Osegard (Cody), Logan Larson (Jacey), Malori Thornton, Sydney Miguel (Nick), Bobby Brause and Abby Brause; and her siblings, Shirley Warren of Ames and Eugene West (Jo Ann) of Ankeny. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joy's name may be directed to the Israel Family Hospice House or Christ Community Church.
