He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius "Al" Koppes and Mary Koppes (Schiltz); and his siblings, Kay Koppes and James "Jim" Koppes (Pamela). He is survived by: his children, John Koppes (Shannon) of Story City, Jodi Koppes-Hokanson (Jeff) of Altoona and Kelly Stufflebeam (Donald Klein) of Nevada; his grandchildren, Rhianna Koppes, Kaylee Koppes, Max Koppes, Jesse Hokanson, Jami Hokanson, Logan Stufflebeam and Jacob Stufflebeam; his mother-in-law Betty McCann; his brothers-in-law, Mark McCann and Denny McCann; and his nephew-in-law Thomas McCann.
