She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wheelock and Gertrude Wheelock (Christopher); her sisters, Isabelle Crosby (John), Bernadine McDonald (Jim), Elizabeth Clark (Edward), Gertrude Fitzgerald (John), Barbara Askelson (Earl) and Patricia Beach (Jim); her sons, Mark Bell and Jim Bell; her grandsons, Tom Bell Jr. and Mike Hanks; and her children-in-law, Gary Smith and Kelly Bell.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin D. Bell of Ames; and her children, Tom Bell (JoAnn) of Story City, Suanne Smith of Eagle Grove, Pam Hanks (Dennis) of Cambridge, Jacque Bell of Ames, Larry Bell of Ames and Danny Bell of Ames. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
