He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ray Thompson and Florence Thompson; his wife Nancy; his children, Brian Thompson (Suzanne) of Ames and Kristen Halsted (Phil); and his grandchildren, Josh Thompson of Ames, Hilary Halsted of Jefferson, GA and Cory Halsted of Lebanon, MO..
