It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanne Marie Griffin Broddle (Ames, Iowa), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 19, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry H. Harmon and Arvilla Hutten Harmon; her husbands, John Dennis "Denny" Griffin and Colin H. Broddle; her son Mark Griffin; and her brother John "Jack" Harmon.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jennifer Griffin; her stepchildren, Marilyn Borowski (Thomas), John Broddle (Lisa), Russell Broddle and Jeffrey Broddle (Sharon Russell); and her grandchildren, Scott Griffin (Christine), Justin Griffin (Bel Lucas), Daniel Griffin (Jennifer Eidem), Christina Byland (Alex), Mark Griffin, John Dennis Griffin II (Jessica), Stephen Griffin (Anna), Sara Hardy (Mitchell), Catherine Galligan, Griffin Galligan and Gina Galligan. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren; brother- and sisters-in-law; cousin; and nieces and nephews.
Jeanne's family shares their deepest thanks to Tommie Torrez for her selfless care during the last year of Jeanne's life, especially with the difficulties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
