She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Burton Bayles and Clara Bayles (Numbers); her husband Lawrence Burkhart; her son Kenneth Burkhart (Tressa Wilcox) of Atlantic; her grandchildren, Katie, Kristen and Abby; her daughter Karen Guetzko (Gary) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Megan, Lauren and Nate; her son Kevin Burkhart (Susan) of Memphis; her grandchildren, Ben and Allie; her great grandchildren, Harriet, Samuel, Joseph, Jacob and Little Doug; and her brothers, Norman Bayles and Robert Bayles. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
