He was predeceased by: his parents, LuVern "Vern" James Wooge Sr. and Dorothy Eleanor Wooge (Tanner); his parents-in-law, John William Carey and Dorothy Ella Carey; and his sister-in-law Connie Ann Nealson.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Sue Wooge of Ames, Iowa; his son LuVern "Trey" James Wooge III of Ames, Iowa; his siblings, Carole Jeanne Wepler (Ronald) of Belleville, Michigan and William Edward Edwin Wooge of Washington, D. C.; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Carey (Lucy) of Ames, Iowa, James Carey (Candace Coberly) of West Liberty and Gary Nealson of West Liberty; and his nieces and nephews, Christopher Wepler of Belleville, Michigan, Nathan Nealson (Kim) of Grimes, Iowa, Kimberly Smith (Brad) of Centennial, Colorado, Amy Mazeski (Brian) of Aurora, Colorado, Ryan Carey (Maureen) of Toronto, Ontario, Lindsay Koopman (Barry) of Golden Valley, Minnesota and BJ Carey (Ryann) of Hillsborough. He is also survived by aunts and an uncle, many beloved cousins, great nephews, great nieces, and friends.
