James Sperfslage Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 13, 2024, at the age of 82, James Sperfslage of Ames, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sperfslage and Alice E. Schuler Sperfslage. He is survived by: his wife Joanne E. Sperfslage of Ames, IA; his children, Kurt Sperfslage (Emily) of Ames, IA and Kristine Stone (Corbin) of Clive, IA; and his grandchildren, Payton, Riley Sperfslage, Eleanor and Truman Stone. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
Memorials have been established for the Mediapolis Fire Department and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
