He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Ling and Mardella Ling (Stofferahn); and his sister Marlene Marie. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ling of Ames, IA; his sons, Mike Ling (Dawn) of Ames, IA, Kevin Ling of North Mankato, MN and Scott Ling (Diane) of Champlin, MN; his grandchildren, Amber Roberts (Ling), David Ling (Sarah), Christina Meyn (Josh), Justin Ling (Brook), Matthew Ling, Megan Baldwin (Ben) and Shauna Ling; his great grandchildren, Jason, Ethan, Dylan, Gracie, Archie, Dalton, Jackson and Brinnley; and his siblings, Jeanette Bob Thompson (Greve), Clifford (Mary Ann), Steve, Anthony (Tony), Alan (Linda) and Luann Gibson (Shane). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
