With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Anita Sears of Ames, Iowa, born in Dakota City, Iowa, who passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Roland and Johannah Marie Roland (Michelson); and her siblings, Genora Roland and John J. Roland. She is survived by: her husband James Howard Sears; her sisters-in-law, Dolores Roland and Helen Primus (John); her nephews, Roger Roland, Daniel Primus (Bernadette) and Michael Primus (Laura); her niece Martha Widen (Jeffrey); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Zachary Primus, Nathaniel Primus, Noah Widen, Grace Primus and Alana Primus.
