She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Tony and Elsie Mae Cody (Osborne); and her siblings, Opal Fisher, Ruth Cody, Evelyn Cody, Dorothy Yancey, Frederick "Bud" Cody and Bill Cody.

She is survived by: her children, John (Sandy) of Zearing, IA, Ron of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kathy Akey of Bradenton, FL and Don (Melanie) of Colo, IA.; her sister-in-law Sue Gould of Marshalltown, IA; and her son-in-law Lynn Akey. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews.
