It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hector Avalos (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on April 12, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandmother Maria Refugio Avalos; his mother Magdalena Avalos Bernal; his stepfather Ramon Bernal; and his former wife Lisa Avalos.
Memorial donations can be made to the Vasculitis Foundation, representing those who suffer from various diseases affecting blood vessels, including Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis, and also known as Wegener's Granulomatosis, the illness that Avalos endured since about 1978.
