He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Risdal and Mason; his wife Gladys J. Ragee; and his siblings, Rudolph, Robert Risdal, Blanche Hill, Margaret Strum and Geraldine Wessman.
He is survived by: his children, Clark Risdal of Ames, Alan Risdal (Kara) of Roland, Denise Kost (John) of Huxley and Susan Olson (Greg) of Roland; his grandchildren, Kristin, Travis, Haley, Jennifer, Jacob, Riley and Jacey; and his sister-in-law Esther Risdal of Story City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
