He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Art and Nora Feakes. He is survived by: his wife Karen Kay Carlson of Ames; his children, Tim Feakes of Belleville, Illinois and Tammy Porter (Scott) of Boone; his grandchildren, Aja and Mason of Ames; and his sister Sandra Finley.

Memorial donations may be sent to Stevens Memorial Chapel to be directed to the family.
