He was predeceased by: his parents, William August and Louise Pauline Geiger (Unkel); his brothers, Carl, Ralph (Elaine) and Bill; and his granddaughter Jill Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Bartruff; his children, Dr. Randall Geiger (Marlene) of Ames, IA, Judi Harper (Jim) of Grand Island and Jane Cohen (Michael) of Morgan Hill, CA; his grandchildren, Robin Litchfield (Scott) of Ankeny, IA, David Geiger (Anna) of Raleigh, NC, Jodi Harper of Mission, KS, Jason Harper (Megan) of Tucson, AZ, Jami Harper of Phoenix, AZ and Kristin Geiger-Thorson (Todd) of Newport Beach, CA; his great grandchildren, Rylee, Garrett Litchfield, Kira and Elliott Geiger; and his sister-in-law Valerie Geiger. He is also survived by children – not only his own, and nieces and nephews; but especially his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
