Shakeshaft of Ames, Iowa, born in White Plains, New York, who passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin P. Hammond and Katherine Hammond (Markham); her husband Jerry; and her sister Kit. She is survived by: her children, Kate Murray of Gainesville, FL and Tom Shakeshaft of Oak Park; her grandchildren, Julia, Sadie and William; her nieces, Jennifer, Kat and Margaret; and her nephew Donald.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the American Civil Liberties Union.
