He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dave Fitz and Clare Fitz (Hutchison); his grandfather Edwin Reed Fitz; his wife Mary Braymen; his sister Ruth Peck; and his children, Diane Lozovoy (George), David Fitz (Jeannie), Roger Fitz (Judy) and Suzanne Clark (Doug). He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to First Christian Church of Ames, Heartland Senior Services, or the Ames Izaak Walton League.
