He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Henderson and Marguerite Henderson (McClarnan); his wife Julia Ann Beirman; and his sisters, Darlene Nystrom, Vivian Wilson, Helen Eppert, Beverly Rohwer and Ruth Greco.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Henderson of Leon and Shelly Carter of Ames; his grandson Jake Carter of Boone; and his sisters, Betty McCoy, Shirley Tingley and Sharon Landis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the ALS Association, Iowa Chapter, 3636 Westtown Parkway, Suite 204, Des Moines, Iowa 50266, in memory of Lew and Julia Henderson.
