It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Marie Messenger (Ames, Iowa), born in Mondamin, Iowa, who passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Cooper and Mary Orcine Cooper (Niles); her husband Dale Messenger; and her siblings, Harold, Mary Ada and Beverly.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard, LeRoy (Sheryl), Keith (Peanut) and Doug (Dee); her grandchildren, Tamar McCunniff (Jesse), David (Colleen), Michael (Kristina), Matthew (Margaret), Ryan and Carson (Hannah); and her sister Myrna Cooper. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Ames.
