He was predeceased by: his parent Lucille Beal; his brothers, Andy and Don Anderson; and his niece Elizabeth. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth; his wife Erma; his son Michael Flummerfelt (Diane) of Ames; his brother Marvin Anderson of Princeton, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Kristina Schaben (Jason), Chelsea Klassen (Ben), Taylor Flummerfelt, Matthew Flummerfelt and Jacob Flummerfelt; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Samantha, Maxwell and Emmett.
When travel and gathering restrictions due to COVID-19 are lifted, the family will host a celebration of life ceremony in Ames, Iowa.
