He was predeceased by: his parents, David Boylan and Mabel Boylan (Jones); his wife Juanita Boylan; his daughter Sharon Hähnlen; his son-in-law Lee Hähnlen; his son Gerald Boylan (Jerry); his granddaughter Amanda Hähnlen; his sister Alice Banks; and his brothers-in-law, Herb Banks and Harold Short.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth McKee (Murray) of Carlise and Lisa Powell (Kevin) of Walford, Iowa; his sister-in-law Marjorie Short of Yorba Linda; his daughter-in-law Vonny Boylan of Jakarta, Indonesia; and his grandchildren, Joshua Hähnlen (Summer), Anne-Christie, Matthew McKee (Missy), Heather Brown (Tim) and Collin Powell. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.
