He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Shenefelt and Estella Shenefelt (West); and his sister Neva Lolling. He is survived by: his wife Donna Shenefelt of Ames; his daughters, Diana McHenry (Kevin) of Ames and Denise Weinreich (Dana) of Fountain Hills, Arizona; his grandchildren, Derek Weinreich, Alison McHenry, Devon Weinreich and Ben McHenry; and his brother Les Shenefelt (Bonnie) of Denver, Colorado..
