It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Coleen McClanahan of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Coleen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carlos McClanahan and Ella Catherine McClanahan (Wiese); and her friend New Year.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Collegiate Presbyterian Church (159 Sheldon Ave, Ames, IA 50014). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, please give in her memory to the Iowa Reading Association.
