He was predeceased by: his parents, Warner Glotfelty and Inez Glotfelty; and his siblings, JoAnn Pedrick and Robert Glotfelty. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ahart of Dow City; his children, Julie (Sam Lersten), Janet (Perry Rathe), John (Meghan) and Joe (Kelley); his grandchildren, Michael Lersten (Ivy), Melissa Wisel (Jake), Molly Lersten, Emma White (Trevor), Charles Rathe (Hannah), Sam Rathe (Emily), Jay Rathe, RJ Glotfelty, Chase Glotfelty and Millie Glotfelty; and his great grandchildren, Grace, Josephine Wisel and Wells White.
