He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlene Clement Oberman and Robert Oberman; his stepfather Carl Lippolt; and his niece Courtney Parker. He is survived by : his wife Dawn Sattler; his siblings, Mike Oberman of Humboldt, IA and Pat Parker of Ames; his nephew Devon Oberman (Amber) of Arnold's Park, IA; and his nieces, Melinda Hamann (Zach) of Ankeny, IA and Melissa Spencer (Chad) of Lenexa, KS..
