She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvie J. Grandfield and Florence Grandfield (Wake); her husband Donald Kanning Schulze of Yonkers; her siblings, Maxine Hughes and Marion; her son-in-law Larry Lasche; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Hughes, Lou Schulze, Bernard Shapiro, Nathalie Shapiro and Mary Ann Schulze.
She is survived by: her children, David Schulze (Maralyn) of Marshalltown, Karen Lasche, Donna and Monte (Ex); her grandchildren, Joshua Schulze (Trista), Jacob Schulze, Mara Pfaltzgraff (Alex), Lucas Lasche (Amy), Katie Lutz Mc (Matt) and Amanda Baetsle (Lance); and her great grandchildren, Ezra, Zoe, Matilda and Eli.
After cremation rites, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a private service and burial in Ames Municipal Cemetery followed by a private family reception on August 29th.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Mary Greeley Hospice or Northminster Presbyterian Church, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation.
