Carleen Tipping Obituary
We bid farewell to Carleen Tipping of Ames, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Carleen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Ewing and Gladys Ewing (McCoskey); her grandson Colin Michael Tipping; her brother Elwood Ewing (Woody); and her siblings-in-law, Elton Tipping, Frank White, Ron Burgin, Joyce Miller and Leila White.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Dwight Tipping; her children, Michelle Carter of Branson, MO, Kent Tipping (Joann) of Urbandale, IA and Gina Jordebrek (Nathan) of Ames; her grandchildren, Conner Tipping (Meredith), Quinn Tipping (Faye), Danielle Carter, Kersten Daubitz (Jack), Lucas Carter, Caitlin Tipping and Jaxon Jordebrek; her great grandchildren, Francis Tipping, Doris Tipping, Hadlee Lawrence and Benjamin Tipping; and her siblings-in-law, Ervin Tipping (Jan) of Ashland, OR, Gloria Ewing of Allerton, IA and Charlene Burgin of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Northcrest Community (2300 Northcrest Pkwy, Ames, IA 50010).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Northcrest Foundation or to St. Croix Hospice.
