We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2021, at the age of 93, Beverly C. Hanson of Ames, Iowa, born in Fostoria, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Pothast and Elsie Pothast (Schueneman); her husband Derald Hanson; her brother Norman Pothast; and her sister-in-law Betty Pothast.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Leabhart (Tom) of Davenport, IA, Barbara Israel (Jeff) of Orlando, FL and Kathy Massing (Howard) of New Virginia, IA; her grandchildren, Craig Leabhart, Nate Farmer of Des Moines, IA, Kara, Tyler Grace of Des Moines, IA, Rachel Israel of Orlando, FL, Deborah Israel of Orlando, FL, Jon and Martha Massing of Texas; and her great grandchildren, Jude Grace and Liam Grace. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Stratford Lutheran Church or to Planned Parenthood of the Heartland.
