It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jeanne (Schertz) Ray of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Elizabeth (Evey) and Lester Lee Schertz; and her husband Maynard Ray. She is survived by: her sons, Bryan Ray (Pamela) and Lyndon Ray (Cathi Pelelo); and her siblings, Grace Schertz and Lyle Schertz. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
