She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Schmidt and Gladys Schmidt (Peterson); her husband Richard Goetzman; her parents-in-law, Earl and Esther Goetzman; and her brother Robert Schmidt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Barrett of Boone and Carol Ahrens of Boone; her grandchildren, Cory Dawkins (Nicki), Marc Riker (Kandi), Stephanie Riker, Malarie Robinson (Colton), Andrew Ahrens (Stephanie), Elise Bream (Matt) and Sean Ahrens; and her siblings, Pauline Davis, Lois Larew (Bob) of Davenport, Verne Schmidt (Mary Ellen) of Glen Ellyn, IL, Larry Schmidt (Jackie) of Walker, IA and Gary Schmidt (Mabel) of Hacienda Heights, CA. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Suncrest Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone.
